Solent Scurry's Shorebased courses are taught in our Southampton classrooms. We also have facilities availble to us in Central London, and Cowes IOW.

A FULL LIST OF RYA THEORY COURSE and other Specailst Courses is below. RYA Theory Courses teach navigation - covering tides calucations, Tidal Streams, Course to Steer, Estamiated positions and use of GPS navigation Systems.

All theses course are £330. They can be undertaken in our classroom either over a 5 day period (Monday - Friday or over 3 consecutive weekends.


Alternatively LET US COME TO YOU ! - often finding the time to undertake a shorebased course or finding an evening class in a suitable location can be difficult. For many a correspondence course is the answer, but many find the lack of interaction on such courses hard going.

For this reason Solent Scurry Sailing will come directly into your workplace, club house or a venue of your choice for a couple of hours a week over 7 week period, during after work hours (eg: 1730-1900) to conduct an teach evening courses. We will provide a quality and professional instructor who will be able to teach the whole Shorebased syllabus in this manner by arrangement.


If your group is between 4 - 10 people we can arrange an exclusive course. We can end one of instructors to your offices, club house, or a venue convenient for you to conduct the course.
