RYA DAY SKIPPER SHOREBASED THEORY COURSES
This is the foundation course in pilotage, navigation, yacht safety, collision regulations and weather.
RYA COASTAL SKIPPER / YACHTMASTER SHOREBASED THEORY COURSE.
This is an improver’s course in pilotage, navigation, meteorology, yacht safety, collision regulations and weather. More emphasis is given on longer distance navigation, electronic navigation and weather.
RYA OCEAN YACHTMASTER THEORY
The Yachtmaster Ocean is an experienced yachtsman, competent to skipper a yacht on passages of any length in all parts of the world. The Theory Course introduces the theory of position fixing using sun sights and a sextant, and also covers global weather systems and long distance passage planning. It assumes knowledge covered in the CoastalSkipper/Yachtmaster Theory.
They can be undertaken in our classroom either over a 5 day period (Monday - Friday or over 3 consecutive weekends.
